Toshi Komatsu is an astronomy educator and the Technical Director of the Fujitsu Planetarium at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA. He presents live planetarium field trip programs to local school children and creates content for the Planetarium. Prior to working at De Anza College, he spent 15 years at the Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley, managing, and then directing, the planetarium there, as well has managing the Science On a Sphere(R) exhibit there. He also wrote and developed several planetarium workshops for school field trips and public shows.
While at the Lawrence Hall of Science, he served as Co-I on NASA’s Kepler Mission Education and Public Outreach program, working with a team to develop activities and content to promote the mission.
